Planet Insights Platform is sold as a set of packages. Which one suits you depends on whether you know the areas you want to monitor up front, and how recent the imagery needs to be. See the current pricing plans and packages for prices.

Packages

• Insights Flex — global access to monthly visual mosaics, PlanetScope scenes from 30 days and older, and public imagery sources, with no requirement to define areas up front.
• Insights Premium — access to areas you define up front, at a lower per square kilometre rate, with platform actions charged in monitoring credits.
• Insights Reserved — access to areas you define up front at a higher rate, with basic platform actions included rather than charged separately.
• Mosaics — analysis-ready harmonised mosaics at weekly to quarterly cadences, for tracking broad-area change over time.
• Agriculture — for commercial agriculture, with customer-defined areas down to 1 hectare and a two-year historical archive, in Premium and Reserved variants.
• Open Water — near-daily imagery and vessel detections across open-water, coastal and near-coast regions.

How you are charged

Two things determine what you pay:

• Areas of access — on the packages where you define areas up front, those areas are priced per square kilometre per year. Contracts are annual.
• Monitoring credits — a single currency covering what you do on the platform: ordering imagery, streaming tiles, and platform actions such as data activation, clipping and egress. Credits are bought up front and drawn down as you use them.

You can hold more than one package. For example, Insights Premium for well-known areas of interest alongside Insights Flex for ad-hoc work outside them.
