The Planet Insights Platform trial lasts 30 days and does not require payment details. This article lists what the trial includes and what it does not.

What the trial includes

• A Monitoring Credit balance to test and experiment with features.
• Public data from the Sentinel and Landsat constellations.
• Sample data in predefined locations around the world through Planet Sandbox Data.
• Your own Zarr or COG data from AWS S3 buckets.
• The Browser, the Configurations app, and Requests Builder.
• API access to the Catalog API, Processing API, Statistical API, OGC API, and Bring Your Own COG and Zarr APIs, plus the Sentinel Hub Python SDK and JavaScript packages. You can create one pair of credentials during the trial.

What the trial does not include

• Ordering new imagery from the Planet constellations and data layers. For example, you cannot order PlanetScope imagery over your own Area of Interest (AOI).
• Tasking new images from any constellation.
• The Batch Processing API, Batch Statistical API, and Asynchronous Processing API.

To work with imagery over your own areas, purchase a small amount of data or contact the sales team. If an order fails with your trial account, see "No access to assets" error when ordering imagery with a trial or evaluation account.
