Usage Reports- Reporting Options

Organization: 

Select the name of your organization or the name of the sub-organization to generate a report for that group of users. 

From and To: 

The date choosers used to set the reporting period.  Planet operates on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) the dates selected will return usage from 00:00 to 23:59 inclusive of the dates selected.  

Report by (Organization or User):

Organization administrators can choose to report usage for the organization as a whole or to generate a report that details usage by each individual user.   

For Regular users this field is set to “User” and not editable.  Regular user reports display their own usage only.  

Roll Up Interval: 

Users may summarize or “roll-up” the usage reported into regular time periods.  Users may summarize usage into daily, weekly, monthly or all-time.  Daily is the most detailed reporting available and will report the total usage for each day in the reporting period.  Note that Planet operates on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time, so the report will return usage from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC for the dates specified.  Weekly reports will sum up the total usage for a week, measured Sunday through Saturday.  Monthly reports sum up all usage in the calendar month. All-Time sums up all usage in the reporting period.   

Download Plan:
Planet offers PlanetScope imagery in Starter, Preferred and Premium download plans. The Starter plan does not allow clipping and all downloads are measured according to the whole size of the scene. Preferred plans allow clipping, but all imagery downloads are charged a minimum of 100 sq km per scene downloaded. Premium plans allow clipping and all imagery downloads are charged a minimum of 0.01 sq km per scene downloaded.

You can download usage according to different download plans to see how your usage would differ according to our Starter, Preferred or Premium plans. We plan to show your usage only in your enrolled download in a future release to prevent any confusion. If you have a question regarding which download plan you’re currently enrolled in, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Submit a request.
