Clearing the cache removes old data so you can see the latest updates to content or settings. After you clear the cache, you might need to re-enter stored passwords or other saved items.
- In Microsoft Edge, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, then select Settings.
- From the menu on the left, select Privacy, search, and services.
- Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
- Select Cached images and files, along with any other browsing data you want to clear.
- At the top of the dialog, choose a time range. For most users, 24 hours is enough, but this depends on when the changes were made.
- When you are satisfied with your selections, click Clear now.
Clearing the cache might take a few minutes, depending on the time range you selected. After that, your cache is clear and any updates to content or settings are refreshed.
