You can use the same API key across multiple domains or machines simultaneously, as long as you stay within the rate limits. The following rate limits are currently in place for the Data API:
- Activation endpoint: 2 requests per second
- Download endpoint: 5 requests per second
- Search endpoint: 5 requests per second
- Other endpoints: 10 requests per second
If you exceed a rate limit, the API responds with an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests status code. For details, see the Data API overview and Rate limiting.
