As of July 2022, Planet enabled customers to receive even more imagery with its Tasking Aggregation release. The Tasking Aggregation will improve fulfillment rate and optimize order delivery. Point orders across customers with similar or overlapping Areas of interest (AOIs) will be collected in a single SkySat pass. The only change customers may see with Task Aggregation is faster point order fulfillment.
As a result, you may see the same image in your collects if your AOI's are within the capture range, please see the following graphic for a visual explanation:
