Resolution by Asset Type

Pelican imagery is delivered at different pixel sizes based on the selected asset type:

• 50 cm Resolution: Applies to Ortho Visual (ortho_visual), Ortho Pansharpened (ortho_pansharpened), and Ortho Panchromatic (ortho_panchromatic) products.

•  

  1 m Resolution: Applies to Ortho Analytic (ortho_analytic) and Ortho Analytic Surface Reflectance (ortho_analytic_sr) products.

Planet Explorer Display

Planet Explorer is a web-based tool used to search, preview, and view metadata for archive imagery. Because the platform typically uses Visual images for rendering on-screen previews and populating metadata, users will generally see the 50 cm resolution displayed in the interface.
