Planet Analytic outputs support a wide range of applications. The following examples can help you get started.
Road Detection and Building Detection
- Measure the number of pixels classified as road or building over time within your area of interest (AOI) to develop a proxy for development.
Vessel Detection
- Build a time-series analysis to track the daily pattern of vessels detected within your AOI.
- Track a docked vessel by querying the Analytics API for a specific geo-coordinated bounding box. A change in the result can indicate that the vessel has left the port.
