I would like to share an interesting case study from one of our Education and Research user, Kyle Bradley from Earth Observatory Singapore of NTU. He's using planet imagery is to map out surface displacement which occurred during 28 September 2018 Earthquake in Palu (Suawesi, Indonesia). The result has been published in Nature Geoscience and you can read it here.
A blogpost regarding the article can be found here.
This is just one of many examples out there that highlights the unique value of Planet's high temporal cadence that allows everyone to rapidly acquired pre-and post-disaster event for further analysis. Also related: ABC, 123: Back To Basics With Planet In 2019
Congratulations for Kyle and his team for the research publication. We at Planet Community also inviting all researchers to unlock potential of Planet's imagery to make new discoveries. Interested? Start here.
