I am trying to do atmospheric correction using Flaash module provided by ENVI 5.5 for the RapidEye ortho tile image. The image covers almost 1/3 marine area. But I got confused about the "radiometricScaleFactor" which is an important parameter when converting the pixel values of the Analytic products to radiance. According to the planet image specification document, radiometricScaleFactor is set to be 0.01. Then I set the “Scale Factor” as 0.01 when I was performing radiometric correction in Envi 5.5. When I run Flaash module there is another factor called “Single scale factor” need to be input. I tried different values such as 1, 0.1, 0.01, 1000 but all the results seem wrong. The reflectance sometimes very low (lower than 100) and even get lots of negative values. I just wondering that is there any accurate number for the two parameters in ENVI (“Scale Factor” and “Single Scale Factor”)? Atmospheric Correction is very essential to my research, therefore I need to make sure all the parameters are correctly set. By the way, I also get PCI software which provides ATCOR-3 module to perform atmospheric correction for RapidEye data. The tool is more complicated than Flaash. Is there any reference manual for utilizing that tool to do atmospheric correction for RapidEye data. Thank you.
