Best options for a demo for urban properties
I'm working with a client to create a proof-of-concept demo which has to do with monitoring the condition of specific properties over a period of time. For example, the effects of the wildfires and mudslides in California at the end of 2017, early 2018.
Which of the item types would be best suited to the following:
1. Most possible days within a particular timeframe. Some of the time ranges I've used had gaps of weeks, and this may be due to weather, but I'm wondering if there are some systems which have better coverage than the REOrthoTile types.
2. Smallest possible region based on my area of interest. Some of the files I've downloaded are impractically large for areas of interest of perhaps 100 to 200 acres.
3. Images that are horizontally aligned (I believe these are the ortho types).
My tests to date have followed the guides, using REOrthoTile. I've experimented with the others, but am looking for a reference to the simplest type of imagery possible. We can get more complicated, but I need to prove the concept first.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Andrew,
Apologies for the delayed response here! To answer your question, it sounds like what you're looking for is our PlanetScope imagery: these daily images are captured by our flock of Dove satellites, and are the core of our imagery archives. Searching for PlanetScope data will give you the highest possible temporal cadence of coverage for any given area of interest.
Depending on your analytic needs, you'll want to use either the PSScene3Band (RGB imagery) or PSScene4Band (BGRN imagery) item type: both item types are available as orthorectified GeoTIFFs, in WGS84 UTM projections. You can read more about these and other item types in our docs.
To your second point: I think you would benefit from using the Clip functionality in our new Orders API: this would allow you to clip imagery to a given area of interest prior to download. If you're interested in using the Orders API, you can get in touch with our sales team to learn more.
