Finding Imagery using ID Numbers

    Hi Ryan,

    As you noted, each Planet image has an identifier, such as 20180912_133342_0f3b (note that this is different from what you posted). The other number you saw is the strip_id, which is the same for all images in the same strip, so it isn't a good way of finding a unique image, but can be helpful for finding a set of images captured by the same satellites in the same location at around the same time.

    Going back to your question, Planet Explore allows you to search by image ID. If you type the ID into the search box, you will get matching images as results:
