Follow is what allows you to get notifications in an email, if you want to get emails every time there is a post in the General Community Discussion board click on the follow button
- If you want to follow an individual post only and get notifications based on that, go to the discussion of your choosing and click the follow button there. For example
- Choosing the Topic Tab at the bottom of a post allows you to make sure you can post something in general discussion versus a feature request. Want some super cool feature in Explorer, want some enhancement to existing tools or a new tool completely. Post in the Feature Requests.
- Read the white papers maybe your answer already exist there and if not search for it using the search tab within the community forum. If you still can't find a topic, write one, this is supposed to be an open forum for discussion and users contributing to each other. As new posts start coming in the community knowledge base gets richer.

6) Consider updating your profile to include information about yourself that you want to share with other Planet users. Some ideas: where on earth are you, what do you do, what are your areas of research interest or work, etc. You can access & edit your profile while logged in by clicking your username in the top right:
As an example, you can click my username on this comment to see my own profile.
