What can you see?

Planet Labs imagery has a resolution between 3 and 5 meters. In practice, this means that you can see: roads, vehicles, ships, ports, airplanes and infrastructure (buildings, solar arrays, natural gas pipes and so on).

Each individual scene’s metadata contains an image_statistics.gsd property that measures the ground sample distance of that particular image.
